Detailed Course Information:
Full Circle Education and Terra Genesis International invite you to join us for an Introduction to Permaculture Design. This three day course will be taking place June 23rd-25th in Teton Valley, Idaho. The Introduction to Permaculture will get you fired up about how to apply permaculture in your own backyard, in your community, and in your business. Our aim is to create a supportive learning space that has a mix of theory, group exploration and multi-media presentations. Come prepared to think, to design and to get inspired!
We’re fortunate to have Christian Shearer as the primary facilitator of the course. Christian has been practicing and teaching permaculture design around the world for the last ten years and now lives on a Permaculture homestead near Darby Canyon, where he and his wife have built the Teton’s first Earthship inspired home. Christian has taught the Permaculture Design Course over 30 times and appears in the full-length documentary film Seeds of Permaculture.
What is a Permaculture?Permaculture is a holistic design science that aims to use agricultural systems as a primary way to meet as many of the needs of humans as we can, while also building strong resilient communities and ecologies. Permaculture is centered around a set of design principles which are applicable to almost every facet of life. The principles of permaculture have permeated deep into society over the past 30 years since being set forth by movement founder Bill Mollison. The Introduction to Permaculture serves as a foundation for further permaculture work and is an ideal place to start when considering a land-based project of your own. To date, hundreds of thousands of permaculture designers worldwide have been certified in Permaculture Design (through a two week Permaculture Design Course), and now comprise a global network of educators, ecological activists, consultants and practitioners who are influencing the decisions of world governments, industry, small business and people from all walks of life. Permaculture helps us to change the way we view and design our landscapes, our surroundings, our relationships and our daily lives so we can grow the revolution that our planet needs.
