Tetonia Elementary School Outdoor Classroom
Full Circle Education has been working with the Tetonia Elementary School for over 7 years. Partnering with the PTO to diversify the school's Outdoor Classroom, Full Circle Education purchased a hoop style greenhouse in 2008 and began working with the parents and teachers to plant and maintain the greenhouse and provide supplemental programming for the students. We provide hands on lessons weekly for students k-3 in May and late September/early October. In 2014 with the help of a few local grants, the program added two raised beds and an irrigation system. Plans for addition in the spring of 2015 include two more raised beds and a comprehensive composting system. Crops grown in the garden and greenhouse include tomatoes, basil, squash, melons, peas, root vegetables, greens. The Outdoor Classroom is also home to a butterfly garden, and benches. See the Teton Valley News article on our News Page to learn more about the Tetonia Elementary School Outdoor Classroom and greenhouse.
